We have issues with retro-active changes. The effective date pushes the SNS' back to a past payroll period - causing the potential for it to be missed in running the current pay-run.
We do try to use a full year sns period- but this tends to make it take much longer to open sns' than when we just run sns' for the pay period we're working in.
we have also asked the person that is entering the retro-active sns to inform payroll, but this adds another level of responsibility in what should be an easy transaction,
Is there anyway to have an effective date (that the employee sees and others receiving the change) and an SNS date that pulls it into the pay period that the change is actually being reported?
IE. If I am running Sept 03- Sept 16- the sns date is Sept 4, and pulls into my date range that I'm working on, but the effective date is April 1st (which is sent to the employee.
Apologies if this is unclear!
