Global current hire date

We issue ROE's for all of our 10 month staff which was June 30 each year and I have to manually change the current hire date to the first day of the next school year or the following year the ROE will error.

It would be nice to have a global current hire date and select the employees I would like to change instead of doing them individually.

If I don't change the current hire date then the ROE will error.

Thanks

When we process ROE's, we use the 'WEB ROE Finalization Process' to automatically bring the ROE date into the employees master records (Pay tab). The next time an ROE is created for the employee, the system looks at the 'Last ROE Date' on their master record & enters the 1st day worked entered in their timesheet/batch that is after it.

Good idea. We have 10M salaried people that do not enter timesheets that I have to change every year. Would love this.

During Preliminary ROE creation entering the First Day Override worked and Last Day Paid Override will populate those dates on all employees that you are currently creating the ROEs for.  Individual employees can then be edited if their dates are different.  Recommend creating batches of preliminary ROEs for groups of employees with same start/end dates.  This eliminates the need to constantly change the Current Hire date on the employee records after every break in service.

We use the USE TIMESHEET DATES option to have the First day worked and Last day paid determined based on the timesheet entries.  It works excellent for our CUPE and TTOC payrolls as they have daily details in the timesheet records.

Alternately, if you don't have the daily details in the timesheet file if your 10 month staff all started the same day last September I wonder if you could use the 1st DAY WORKED OVERRIDE to avoid having to change the current hire date field.
